Local Content Plan
Our Local Content Strategy has an integral part in the company’s operations since commencing operation in 1988. NoSDO Construction Company is an indigenous firm with 98% of its staff
Sierra Leonean. One of our strategy is, instead of moving our entire Head Office staff, it is always important to source staff from our other areas of operation, except where there is no personnel in that locality to fill in the vacant position. Our Local Contents plan also tracks performance against targets to identify trends, non-compliance, successes, and areas in need of improvement.
Our key Local Content plans are as follows:
1. Adherence to the Local Content Policy of Sierra Leone
2. Employ indigenes in every area of our operations
3. Wages and salaries are always above the local content policy of the country
4. Employ specific number of employees based on the magnitude and duration of the project and encourage them to give their best
5. Target for recruitment, training and local sourcing, supplier development and more
6. Aims to optimize the economic benefits and trade competitiveness in different localities
7. Key staff are trained in tertiary institution, especially in areas of their expertise, others are encouraged to learn new things in terms of technology transfer from one area to the other
